Legendary Swedish band ABBA have suprised and delighted their fans around the world in the most unexpected way.The four members of the super pop group ABBA came together to sing on stage for the first time in 30 years.
Strangely, this is a reunion that the group said would never happen, and they kept their word until sunday night, after three decades had passed.
Talk about suprises !
This long awaited spectacle took place at a party held at the Berns Hotel in Stockholm Sweden.
The private party was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of when the pop group’s sensational songwriters Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson met each other for the very first time.
Before the evening ended, the two female members Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad got together on the stage to perform one of their hit songs from 1980 “Me and I”.
But the audience present went wild when Mr Ulvaeus and Mr Andersson unexpectedly joined the two women on stage towards the end of the song.
Reuniting ABBA for the first time since they split in 1982 at the height of their fame.
It’s been a great night,” Mr Andersson told a Swedish newspaper after the event.
“It was absolutely amazing. A lot of emotions,” said Anni-Frid Lyngstad
“We’ve made this journey throughout our history. Benny and Bjorn in particular. It’s been very nostalgic.”
There have long been calls for ABBA to come back together as a group, but all four have shown an unshakable resolve as they kept their word never to perform together again.
It was reported that the group was even once offered $1 billion to reunite.
But ABBA shocked once again by rejecting the fortune.
