This is the sad and incredible story of a man who thought he dated Katy Perry for six years.
Or so he thought.
A quick history lesson in the love life of singer Katy Perry.
Katy's been married once. She’s currently dating Orlando Bloom, but was previously married to Russell Brand before the pair filed for divorce in 2011.
Too inlove to look closely. But all of this escaped the mind of Spencer Morrill when he became convinced that he was in a sweet relationship with the singer for 6 years.
Strangely, he never met her personally during this time and only spoke to the fake Perry on the phone once.
Unsurprisingly, he’s now the latest subject of MTV’s Catfish, in which he reveals how he was duped by a woman that definitely wasn’t Katy Perry.
'It was an immediate connection. A million "I love yous" back and forth. It was pretty cool.
'I would like to meet face to face and see if there’s a future here.'
Harriet, the woman who fooled him for 6 years has apologized profusely and given some lame excuses for her inexcusable behavior.
