Florida Woman shot dead after Facebook post

By trying to inspire others with her success  story on social media this woman inspired a killer to come after her—and he did. 

The dangers of social media are on the rise. A Florida woman was killed after Facebook post  about her incredible rags to riches story.  Late Wednesday night the mother of three shared a story of how she went from being homeless woman to earning a six-figure income in just two years. 

A truly inspiring story that probably attracted the wrong kind of attention to her. Now relatives fear, that  Maeva Jenkins who was shot dead just two hours after she wrote the facebook post was targeted by someone who read her story. 

The attack

According to reports by the Palm Beach Sheriff's office, the horrific attack cameJust after 2 a.m on Thursday when a someone knocked on Jenkins’ door. Unsuspecting, she opened the door,and a masked intruder forced his way inside. She tried to stop him and they struggled.But during the altercation the assailant shot Jenkins.

After that the suspect fled in her car which he later ditched nearby.

Jenkins was rushed to a hospital, but  died there. 

Here is part of what the 33 year old Jenkins wrote on her page 2 hours before she was killed.:

“I’m in awe of how far I’ve come.” She posted a photo of a conversation she had years ago with a woman who reached out to her about her business plans. 

“Fast forward to now: We overcame being homeless in 2013/2014 to reaching my six figure mark in 2015 to now making multi six figures. No matter what the road looked like, I followed my heart and stuck with it growing my business. I’m saying this to say, anyone can do it. It takes determination and consistency,”

She reached out to help through social media, forgetting that caution should always come first online. Forgetting that the world is more of a dangerous place where beautiful things can happen,  than a beautiful place where dangerous things can happen.
