Boxing champion Tyson Fury tests positive for cocaine before Klitschko rematch

Its been a long time since a boxing heavyweight champion has marred the sport of boxing.

But I guess we now have a winner in that department.

 But something quite embarrassing for boxing's most prestigious flag bearer has occured;

Tyson Fury has tested positive for cocaine, following a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) conducted test on September 22

Fury has been blasted as "the most unworthy world heavyweight champion in history" by Bernd Bönte, the manager of  former champion Klitschko.

We would have called the defeated former champ and his camp sore losers, but on the contrary they have actually conducted themselves in the most professional manner since he lost his world titles to Fury back in November 2015.
Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury rematch

Wladimir Klitschko has twice been frustrated in his attempts to win back the titles he lost to Fury. He has ended up seeing his two rematch attempts come unstuck.

Slippery Champion. Fury pulled out of his October 29 rematch with Wladimir Klitschko on September 23, after being "medically unfit", having previously withdrawn from the original July 9 date with an ankle injury.

Bernd Bönte, Klitschko’s manager, responded to the cocaine claim by declaring: “I think Fury is probably the most unworthy heavyweight champion in history, not only because of this situation but because of the whole package of his sexist comments, his antisemitic comments and his homophobic comments that have been [well documented].”

Although formidable in the ring, he is clearly not a well liked champion outside the ring.

"Hopefully, the organizations will move quickly because Wladimir wants to fight for a title before the end of the year" Bönte continued.

"He has already been in the longest layoff of his career because of Fury, and he is keen on fighting again for a title by the end of the year."

He hopes the VADA will move fast with their decisions and give Klitschko a shot at fighting for the titles before the end of the year.

Fury on the other hand may not be banned, but is likely to lose his titles.
