ITS TIME TO BEAT SUGAR CRAVINGS
One of the hardest things to beat in today's modern diet is sugar. It is found in some of the things we love; ice cream, sweet drinks, cakes and the list goes on. We all know excess sugar is not good for our health in the long run. Excess sugars over the years can contribute or overweight, obesity, cardiovascular problems and so many others.
Naturally occurring sugars (those found in our fruits and foods) do not cause harm, as compared to added sugars, the one that is manufactured. This is because added sugars add more calories and zero nutrients. Excess calories are converted into fats and stored in our body and that is how weight gain develops slowly.
The American Heart Association recommends that men should consume no more than 9 teaspoons of added sugar per day and women should consume no more than 6 teaspoons of added sugar per day.

Use the Daily added sugar limit to estimate the amount of sugar you have had in a day. If you are tempted to consume more than this, have the courage to say no to yourself. Think about the greater good.
2) Drinking water helps
Drinking water when you are tempted to go over the limit will help. Water curbs down the appetite and gives you the feeling of being full.
3) Use natural sweeteners instead of added sugars for home use
If you are not vegan, you can replace sugar with honey when you want to take a cup of tea.
4) Make healthy choices and eat at the right time
If you take breakfast, lunch and supper, you will hardly have sugar cravings. Hunger or thirst are one of the main causes for cravings in general.
