 Nigerian Football coach Amodu Shuaibu is dead

Death has struck Nigerian football again.

Former Super Eagles coach and NFF (Nigerian football federation) Technical director Amodu Shuaibu has died.

The shocking death came just three days after the death of his compatriot, another former Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi. 

Nigerians are still reeling from the death of Keshi when the were hit by the death of Amodu Shuaibu.

The former super eagles coach was the head of the Nigerian senior football team four times and is widely considered one of the most successful coaches in Nigeria.

The 58 year old coach complained of chest pains prior to his death, before passing away while he slept.

This is the second Nigerian football coach to die within one week.

As Nigerians struggle with the loss and try to come to terms with the death of their celebrated sons,  the Nigerian football body released a statement confirming the death and expressing condolence.

A sad day and sad week for Nigerians and Nigerian football.

May his soul rest in peace.
