Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal at the end of season this summer
Arsene Wenger is widely considered one of the best Football managers not to win trophies. But finally that brand is clearly wearing down nerves and patience to breaking point. Wenger is preparing to leave Arsenal at the end of the season — and make a clean break from the club.
After a 20-year reign as Gunners Manager, the Club's senior figures believe that the Frenchman is finally ready to leave.
Arsene Wenger is to leave Arsenal in the summer.
Hunt for suitable replacement. Everyone knows that it will be a near insurmountable task to replace the legendary Arsenal manager. They have already made discreet enquiries about potential replacements and unless Wenger has a remarkable change of heart he will walk away when his £8million-a-year contract expires this summer.
He will take no other post. The 67-year-old would be out of the picture completely, with no possibility of him moving upstairs like rival Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United.
Many are eager to see him go, but many already have a sizeable lump in their throats at the very thought of his departure.
Whoever comes in will be attempting to fill some really big shoes.
Wenger is under increasing pressure after the 5-1 humiliation at Bayern Munich on Wednesday night that all but guarantees a seventh successive Champions League exit, to go with the fact the Gunners haven't won the title since 2004.
The manager’s position has become so divisive, mass fighting broke out between Arsenal fans in the Allianz Arena after the final whistle.
There were also whispered reports that the Arsenal players don't respect Wenger anymore. And everyone knows that is the death of any team.
