Wayne Rooney China move debunked as striker Remains in Manchester United
To be the Manchester United record goal scorer is no small thing. To attain this status at the relatively young age of 31 is an even more remarkable achievement.
But that's exactly what Club legend Rooney has done.
But the recent rumours flying around that Wayne Rooney will leave Manchester United has caused a bit of a stir, as fans became unsettled about losing their prized player.
The Red Devils skipper had been strongly linked with a big money move to China, but has put an end to this speculation in a statement that was released to Press Association Sport.
Here is what Rooney had to say about his move:
"Despite the interest which has been shown from other clubs, for which I’m grateful, I want to end recent speculation & say that I am staying at Man United.
"I hope I'll play a full part in helping the team in its fight for success on four fronts.

Legendary club Manager Sir Alex Ferguson summarized Rooney's recent fitness issues when he remarked that the England captain has not been able to adapt his game as he aged, the way Ryan Giggs did.
