She had no idea what was coming. Another beauty Queen has been killed, raising the point that pageant winners seem to be an object of fascination,admiration and hate. 

In a devastating incident, a  23-year-old beauty queen was shot dead after answering the door to two men. It was reported that the on opening the door,the men gave her chocolates and flowers before gunning her down. 

Premeditated murder. The suspects shot Mary Christine Balagtas in the head with a single bullet at her home in Bulacan, the Philippines, on Wednesday morning.

According to Police, the assailants—two men,  fled on a motorbike following the attack.

Too late. Ms Balagtas was rushed to hospital but died in the ambulance before she got there.

Suspects are currently being investigated. We are following several leads including a man who had a romantic relationship with Mary,’ said Superintendent Julio Lizardo from Plaridel Police.

‘We believe the attack could have carried out by a hired gun.

‘We found an empty shell from a.45 calibre pistol at the scene and believe that two men had fled on a motorcycle.

‘Witnesses said that two men had been seen in the neighbourhood before the shooting.’

Winner of two beauty pageants, Christine was a university student at the time of her shocking death.  

Police continue there investigation as family and friends mourn the woman fondly called 'Tin'.
