Barack Obama slammed Donald Trump for pulling out of Paris climate agreement. He has accused his successor of ‘rejecting the future’ 

The strangest thing about Trump's actions is that the deal has been signed by almost every nation on earth, who are interested in preserving the planet. But apparently Trump sees it as an innessesity. He said he would quit, starting immediately.

The Former US President has mostly kept from criticizing the current POTUS, but In a rare statement, Obama criticised him for his ‘absence of American leadership’.

But he has called for a bypassing of Trump's order, since no one individual, no matter how bold can change the world's climate. He has made it clear that it's the planet's health is the responsibility of all.So he has called on states and businesses to work even harder to protect the planet instead.

In response to Trump who said the deal punished America , here's what Obama said:

‘In the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got,; 

Other notable leaders like former vice President Al Gore have also condemned the action, calling it reckless and indefensible.
