Chris Brown digs up Rihanna assault again and it's even uglier Now
Back in 2009 two popular singers were involved in an ugly incident that still haunts them today. Chris Brown assaulted Rihanna his then girlfriend, after that year's Grammy Award ceremony. There was blood, there were bruises, and there was scathing publicity that only one of the stars survived.
Since then Brown has been dogged by controversy that sometimes resembles the kind he had with the Barbadian singer.
Still haunted by his demons, Recently Chris Brown unwisely opened up—again, about his assault on Riri. It wasn't the smartest move. In doing so, the RnB singer only painted a more vivid picture of that ugly night. A night that most fans just want to forget.
In Chris’s new documentary titled, Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life, he states that over time their relationship had become toxic, saying “we were always fighting each other. She would hit me, I would hit her. But it never was OK.”
“Chris explained the relationship was already going downhill. And that was because he admitted to her that he had been unfaithful with a former employee, despite previously denying it.
Brown recounted the brutal night. According him — "I remember she was trying to kick me. It was just her just being upset. But then I really hit her. With a closed fist, like I punched her and it busted her lip. And when I saw it I was in shock. Why the hell did I hit her? From there, she just spit in my face, spit blood in my face, so it enraged me even more. It was a real fight in a car.”
He says he still regrets it terribly . The fight would haunt him forever. I look back at that picture and I’m like, ‘That’s not me, bro’. I hate it to this day.”
Although the couple got back together after the incident, the past assault was like a Terrible shadow that hung over them and reminded them constantly of how low things can go. They eventually split up finally, and both moved on in their own way. Brown is still clearly hooked on Rihanna, but she has explained that although she will always love him, they can't just be together—ever.
