The Backstreet Boys reveal how a fart became part of their hit track The call
Iconic Boy band Backstreet Boys shocking fart Confession on hit track
The Backstreet Boys are one of the best selling music groups in history. The legendary boy band have sold 30,900 000 million albums in the US, and a staggering 130 million worldwide, making them one of the 20 highest selling artistes ever. After more than two decades of excellent records and still going strong, it's now coming as a bit of a hilarious shock that Backstreet Boys recorded a fart as part of their hit track 'The call'. And I mean a real live, resounding and melodious fart!
It took the band 20 years to confess this incredible story. The track is from their Black & Blue album which sold over a million copies in its first week of release, propelling it to number one on the Billboard top 200.
A.J McLean, In an interview with Billboard explained how (in the world) a fart came to be part of such a beautiful song.
He said: ‘When we were in the studio with Max [producer Max Martin] making the song, Howie [Dorough] was in the booth and we were doing that vocal break down, ‘dun dun dun, dun dun dun dun.’
A.J continued: ‘Max gave Howie his harmony, and I think he was just putting so much air into the vocal that as he was singing, he went ‘dun, dun’ and he farted – but he farted not only on the beat, but in key.
‘So Max tweaked it and made it sound like one of his patented bass sounds, and it stayed on the record.’
I mean this band are some good they even fart in Melody?
The hit album which featured several memorable tracks, still remains one of their most successful albums to date.
The boys—or men are still going strong as their Las Vegas residency which ended in July this year became the fastest selling Residency in history. Even Outdoing Britney Spears and Mariah Carey Vegas residencies.
And about that Backstreet Boys fart track 'The Call' ? The song was so good, I knew something smelt fishy.
