Some people will go to any length to be famous.
And social media and an insane desire to be famous, can often make a terrifying combination.
In this case an aspiring rapper shoots himself in the face in a sickening bid to launch his music career.
He used a gun. Wannabe hip hop artist Kasper Knight posted the horrifying clip on facebook seemingly in the hope that the gruesome clip would go viral. It did.
It showed him press a gun against his cheek and pull the trigger without hesitation, blowing a hole into the side of his face.
Nobody cameraman wanted a part in it. Posting the video on Facebook, Knight explained that he originally wanted to perform the stunt for a music video, but no cameraman would film it.
This is what the self injured rapper said: "So I did it myself since I felt like taking a bullet to the face.
"Anyway, this was really nothing. I've been shot a couple of time before and this was like a 4 out of 10 on the pain scale after the initial impact.
"I look slightly disorientated after the blast. That's because my ears were ringing in pain. It was hard to focus on sound and although I assumed that I swallowed the bullet I wasn't quite sure."
The clip which has been viewed over 500,000 times has brought harsh criticism of the wannabe rapper.
Some called his violent self harming act idiotic and stupid.
Nobody argued with them.
