If anybody has a country to go to let them go says Nigerian president buhari on Nigeria's economy

In what sounded like a defeatist statement, but on the contrary was a show of determination to continue fighting to lift his country back on her feet, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has said that if anybody has a country to go to let him go, as "we will stay here and salvage our country."
Nigeria's economic recession President Buhari’s solution
Obviously the Nigerian president has a lot of plans to lift his ailing country from its depths of despair. But in spite of all his Noble intentions, the difficulty posed by years of corruption, mismanagement of funds and the ingrained attitude of inefficiency and incompetence of the ruling class, has made the going quite difficult.

Recently the corruption fighting president decided to speak his mind about his intended plans, and what it might take the nation as a whole to recover from its present economic recession.

According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, Buhari stated this on Tuesday, November 1st, at the State House in Abuja during a high-level meeting with leaders and other stakeholders to seek ways to end the havoc of militancy and make peace with Niger Delta militants to finally curb the sabotage of oil infrastructure in the Niger Delta region.

The President, who did not read from a prepared speech, pitched a vision of unity and progress for the country in which peace reigns. He said peace, security, investment and prosperity are linked together, adding that "if we give peace a chance, investors will come here to invest. Nobody will invest in an insecure environment"

In a speech dripping with nationalist fervor, President Buhari said the problems his administration found on the ground were many, as illustrated in collapse of oil prices, inability of 27 of the 36 states of the Federation to pay salaries, absence of savings to fall back and having to deal with an elite who didn’t seem to care. All these, he said, made his government to conclude that: "life as usual is no longer affordable."

From the beginning of his administration enthusiasm has waned and Hope Has faltered as the country plunged deeper and deeper into recession.

But it seems that Buhari has still got an ace up his sleeve to turn things around.
